CUET PG Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification: A bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent from a recognized university is mandatory. Most programs require a minimum aggregate (often ~50%) in the relevant graduation stream, with relaxations for reserved categories. Each university may have additional criteria (subject combinations, minimum marks, etc.), so aspirants must verify program-specific requirements on the respective university’s website.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for CUET PG.
Final-Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their bachelor’s may apply provisionally, subject to meeting the eligibility at time of admission.
Language Proficiency: If appearing for a language/literature paper, prior study of that language may be required.
CUET PG Exam Pattern 2026
Structure: 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 4 marks each, total 300 marks. The duration is 90 minutes (plus compensatory time for PwBD candidates).
Sections: Candidates answer only their chosen subject papers (each corresponding to one CUET-PG code). An optional General Test (verbal, quantitative, reasoning) may be taken if offered. The question paper includes Domain Knowledge questions (subject-specific) and may include a General Aptitude section.
Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer, –1 for each wrong answer (no deduction for unattempted questions). The passing threshold is generally 45% of total marks.
Language: Most domain papers are in English (some languages are offered as separate papers). The General Test, if any, is usually in English/Hindi.

How to Prepare for CUET PG?
Master the Basics: Revise core topics from graduation syllabi (NCERT + standard texts). Focus first on high-weightage areas identified in past trends (e.g. key concepts in core subjects).
Understand the Pattern: Familiarize yourself with the CUET PG structure (75 Q, no sectional limit) and practice time management.
Practice Extensively: Solve previous years’ CUET PG papers and sample tests to get used to question styles. This is essential for identifying important topics and improving speed.
Take Mock Tests: Regular full-length mocks help gauge readiness and build confidence. Analyze mistakes to focus revision.
Use Quality Study Material: Besides textbooks, use practice guides (e.g. subject-specific CUET series) and PYQ compilations. Recommended references include Wren & Martin (English grammar), Lucent’s GK, RS Aggarwal (Quant), etc. (See some recommended books below.)
Time Management: Develop a strategy (e.g. which subject first, educated guessing threshold) during practice tests.
